In my ill-fated Googling attempt to find a movie tagline for my Thursday post, I serendipitously came across a blog called Away With Words, by Nancy Friedman. She writes about brand names—where they came from, what exactly makes them ridiculous, ill-advised, or clever—and I could read this stuff for hours. In fact, it's easy to do that if you use the link to the entire 15-month run of posts rather than having to dig through the archives to read more.
