Yay! Wait. Oh, no. But yay!

I checked the Amazon page for How to Conquer the New York Times Crossword Puzzle again today, as is my wont.

At long last, a second customer review! Yay!

Wait. The average star rating is down to 2.5? This must be a terrible review.

One M. M. Lusak writes, This little book is a must for anyone who loves to do crossword puzzles. The puzzles in this book are challenging and fun! Oh! That's a good review! I'm pleased.

But wait. He or she assigned it a rating of 1 star. He or she has posted several other customer reviews at Amazon, and in July, good books got 5 stars and a "huge disappointment" got 2 stars. Now that it's October, all the good reviews get 1 star.

How hard is it to remember that more stars = better, and fewer stars = worse?

Oy.
